With summer finally approaching, al fresco dining, garden parties and barbecues are much more weather-appropriate. Throwing a barbecue is a great way to enjoy some fabulous food with friends and family and, to make playing host that little bit easier, our gas barbecues come with all the latest technology.
Take the Swiss Grill Arosa 250B Steel 4 Burner Gas Barbecue for example. It’s one of the best available from the M&S barbecue range and certainly looks the part. It features a generous four burners, stainless steel hood, infra-red searing station, plus a free cover and a two year guarantee. Whether you want a top-of-the-range gas barbecue or a more rustic fire pit, we’ve got something to suit the occasion.
Watch our barbecue video on M&S TV for more information about our range, or shop all barbecues here.
COMPETITION NOW CLOSED!
We’ve also got one Swiss Grill barbecue to give away (worth £999) and we’ll even throw in £100 worth of M&S vouchers so one lucky winner can sample our summer food and drink ranges and throw the ultimate barbecue, on us.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply sign in with your M&S account and leave a comment below telling us who your dream barbecue guest would be and why.
We’ll pick one winner at random after the closing date of 11.59pm on Sunday 24 June, and they’ll notified by email. Good luck!
Please read the terms and conditions before entering.

i appreciate he will be the obvious and popular choice but i’m going to go with him anyway….my dream bbq guest would be michael fish. small talk with a new acquaintance inevitably revolves around “what lovely / terrible (delete as appropriate) weather we are having this summer” and if you are going to talk weather you may as well do it with someone in the know !

My dream guest has to be my son James who sadly died eight years ago. I have many happy memories of him as a teenager performing the male ritual of taking over the barbeque cooking. Fortunately, unlike the cliche, his efforts were properly cooked and very edible, I recon he would be in his element with todays M&S fare. On my birthday he barbecued in a smoke filled porch during a thunderstorm for twenty guests whilst cheerfully chatting and being entertaining! What better guest could I have?

My dream BBQ guest would be my best friend, Kate. Our lives have taken us in very different directions over the last couple of years and it’s actually been a whole year since we managed to see each other. I gave birth to my fourth child last week so it’d be perfect to have a scrummy M&S BBQ (not just *any* BBQ…) to introduce these two very important people to me.

My ideal barbecue guest would be Dennis Lillee, the famous retired Australian Cricketer. He could give my wonderful BBQ chef hubby the afternoon off and be the Chef himself because how many Aussies can there be who do not know a thing or two about BBQ’s? Also he could entertain my cricket mad hubby with cricket chat all afternoon over a pint, and I would be in my element listening to the bickering and banter!

She is the bravest person I know, as she has recently been diagnosed with Bone Cancer, and having undergone countless rounds of chemo, is today having an operation to have her foot amputated. I wish that she could come to our Jubilee celebrations this weekend and play with my kids, and laugh at my bad jokes, but she won’t be well enough.
