With summer finally approaching, al fresco dining, garden parties and barbecues are much more weather-appropriate. Throwing a barbecue is a great way to enjoy some fabulous food with friends and family and, to make playing host that little bit easier, our gas barbecues come with all the latest technology.
Take the Swiss Grill Arosa 250B Steel 4 Burner Gas Barbecue for example. It’s one of the best available from the M&S barbecue range and certainly looks the part. It features a generous four burners, stainless steel hood, infra-red searing station, plus a free cover and a two year guarantee. Whether you want a top-of-the-range gas barbecue or a more rustic fire pit, we’ve got something to suit the occasion.
Watch our barbecue video on M&S TV for more information about our range, or shop all barbecues here.
COMPETITION NOW CLOSED!
We’ve also got one Swiss Grill barbecue to give away (worth £999) and we’ll even throw in £100 worth of M&S vouchers so one lucky winner can sample our summer food and drink ranges and throw the ultimate barbecue, on us.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply sign in with your M&S account and leave a comment below telling us who your dream barbecue guest would be and why.
We’ll pick one winner at random after the closing date of 11.59pm on Sunday 24 June, and they’ll notified by email. Good luck!
Please read the terms and conditions before entering.

Bizarrely, if I had a Shed-shaped TARDIS handy, as thanks for their successful attempts at creating ‘fire’, our ideal guest would be Neolithic man from c.7000 BC. Their endeavours deserve to be recognised.

Id like the Head of M&S as a guest at my British Themed BBQ (doesnt have to be a jubilee celebration, celebrating our country can be anytime), then I could persuade them with the power of my superb cooking to hire me as a fashion designer/interior designer or simply just a shelf stacker as I have wanted to work for M&S for years and there are zero vacancies locally (and has been that way for years here in the NorthEast). So a bit of a cheeky one trying to get a job at a BBQ but you have to try while you can these days haha. Failing that a chef wouldnt go amiss as my superb cooking skills are HIGHLY exaggerated hahaha. Everyone loves a trier.

I’d love Jamie Oliver to be my guest. He could show me how to get the best out of my new BBQ and get my kids eating all sorts of foods that they would never try for me. We’ve got a scooter so he can scout the surrounding area and grab a few neighbours round to join us. If he wanted to live up to his “Naked Chef” title, I wouldn’t complain.

I’d invite Stephen Hawkins and ask him to explain how the universe works.

For me the dream guest at my BBQ will always be my beautiful wife. Soulmate, friend, cook, mother and lifetime partner. She is simply my Miss World and no-one could replace her.
On: 24 June 2012 Permalink
My family and close friends (who I call my family) would be my dream guest/s. I love them all to bits, and we’ve been through some fantastic and some horrendous and deeply saddening times together. They’re the people i can be completely myself with and have a good laugh or cry or whatever i feel like doing. They’re great company and to have everyone together would make the perfect BBQ and make many more happy memories to keep.
