At M&S we know the importance of smart, quality work wear, but it’s how a person puts the look together that can make the difference when going for that dream job.
Paying attention to minor clothing details can significantly improve first impressions, according to a recent study, so it’s important to consider what you wear not only for a corporate interview, but for all sorts of work occasions.
That’s why we’ve challenged 10 fashion bloggers to a four week style-off, asking them to style an M&S staple garment to suit a different workplace scenario each week.
The final theme for our bloggers was, for the girls: Interview outfit for a yummy mummy going for an office based job after a career break. For the boys: Suitable attire to clinch a career-changing role which will wave goodbye to wearing a suit everyday. And we can now reveal the overall winners of the four-week-long challenge who the judges praised for showing us great outfit ideas every week. Both our winners will receive an iPad 3! Well done to…

The theme for our blogs during week three was: Graduated – interview attire for a student attending their first post-uni interview for a job at a creative agency. Here are the latest winners…

Am really enjoying the different ways ‘Not Dressed As Lamb’ has styled her dress. I am most definitely considering buying this dress on payday! As a 31 year old I don’t normally head for M&S but based on the various ways it’s been styled I can now see this dress as part of my capsule wardrobe. Great job Catherine and M&S!
