Good posture has many benefits, from strengthening your back to helping you look taller and slimmer. With this in mind, and the help and advice of the British Chiropractic Association, we’ve developed Perfect Poise lingerie – the latest in a long line of exclusive product innovations at M&S.
The Perfect Poise range of bras, knickers and shapewear has been specifically designed to increase awareness of good posture by supporting you in key areas. The bra and body incorporate specially-designed back panels which sit across the centre of the shoulders. This adds support which encourages the wearer to keep their shoulders back and avoid slouching. With seam-free cups you can also expect a smooth silhouette so you can wear these pieces under everyday clothing. The bra is available in sizes 34B to 40E and the body is available from 34B to 38DD.

The Tummy Control Knickers from this range have been specifically designed to encourage the right posture by supporting the lower back. They’re also ‘No VPL’  and feature our ‘Stay in Place’ technology for enhanced comfort and security, and are available in sizes 8-22.

Wearer trials are really important to us in lingerie, and on this new range we carried out an independent test of over 100 women. We’re happy to say that 86.9% of those tested felt these products gave support to their back, which is a great reason to give them a try.
We’ve also linked up with the British Chiropractic association to produce a special swing ticket attached to each product to emphasise the importance of looking after your back. We can all find ourselves slouching or hunched over a desk but keep your back in mind, because if you treat it well you’ll be more likely to walk taller, and look and feel better too.

Top tips for looking after your back:
- Imagine a plumb line hanging from your ear through your shoulder down to your hip, knee and ankle. This should help straighten you up when standing
- It’s important to have your spine supported when you’re sitting down, with your hips slightly higher than your knees. The plumb line should hang from your ear through your shoulder and hip
- In bed, try sleeping on your side, as this puts less physical stress on your back than being on your front. Take it slowly when you first get up – try some gentle stretches.

For a moment i though M and S must be God, because only yesterday i had a posture anaylsis and was told due to my bust and curving of shoulders my posture was extremely bad- i find this and i think my god, prayer answered… only you dont do my size, absolutely dream shattering stuff!!… please do a 32 G… my breast weigh about a stone and im thinking of having them reduced massively because i cannot cope much longer!, i agree with above regarding if you only go with post sales data you will always only get what you previously had.. try us all..!!

It is all very well saying that you base what you sell on past sales figures but the customer is not able to buy what isn’t available so therefore there may have been many people who wanted to buy a particular item but could not because of the size range availability. This Perfect Poise lingerie range looks fantastic however I would not be able to buy it because I am a 30C/D and that is not available in this range. Disappointing.

please expand your range of 32 F bras- it is depressing. Finding a pretty bra and discovering that it only comes in a limited size range

Hi Polly, thank you for your comment. We’re sorry you haven’t been able to find something you love in your size. We’ve passed your feedback onto the buying team for their consideration.

Thank you for your comments ladies.
We’re sorry that you haven’t found your sizes available within this particular range. When buying lingerie, we go on past sales figures and what has been popular with our customers. We have fed back your comments to the buying team for future consideration though, because if the demand is there we will stock an item.

Similar to the above: I’m a size 32F (ish, seeing as M&S don’t carry FF) – and I’d have thought that for that reason I would benefit from this bra more than most!
