Here here, dresses with little sleeves or 3/4 sleeves would be a better option for mature ladies all the nice dresses are sleeveless!!

Shrugs and boleros are in fashion now and compliment sleeveless dresses beautifully. Come ladies don’t get OLD before your time!

I agree.
There’s a huge variety of cardigans, shrugs, wraps and jackets to choose from, all styles and colours. Don’t let your search for a fab dress be turned into a search for sleeves!
Choose your fab dress, whatever the sleeves, and then choose your cardi or other cover-up, one that will go with lots of your dresses and tops.

How I agree with Sally Smith. Sadly I feel that having shopped at M & S for years, now that I am past 60 I have dropped off their radar. The in store ethos makes it quite clear that M & S no longer need the grey pound.
I am a very disappointed former customer,

How sad! I am in my mid 60′s and not exactly slim and I shop for all of my clothes at M & S and Jacques Vert and am frequently complimented on how well I am dressed. No, it is true that M&S don’t sell Granny shawls or bonnets but they sell many, many clothes that mature women can wear elegantly and not look like mutton dressed as lamb. It only takes a bit of imagination and know how.

I will be 66 in a few weeks and buy lots of dresses from Marks and Spencers. There is some lovely long dresses on sale at the moment. What makes it harder for me is that I live in Spain so do all my buying on line, but I have never been disappointed, and I definitely do not look like mutton dressed as lamb as the old saying goes.

Our daughter, 36, was married 4 weeks ago in Australia. We are both mid 60′s. Whilst my husband got suited and booted completely with M&S, I opted for Jacques Vert, amazing, comfy, easy to wear outfits with matching hat, shoes and bags! Had to buy in UK January – nothing suitable in lots of stores then. I am all for 1 stop shopping, so easy, peace of mind and everything was in stock!!! So many compliments from guests regarding our attire made us even happier!! Enjoy the wedding day!

My son and his fiancé are both 40, not uncommon these days. So when they get married next year, all us parents and in-laws will be in our mid-60s. We’d like to see what we can wear that will be flattering to our age-group, and comfortable, and not shame our lovely children on their great day.
So how about looking at present-day realities and not just showing wedding ceremony dresses on models the age of the wedding couple.Their friends (of their age) know exactly what to wear. Help us oldies!
Regards,
Sally Smith
