As a farmer’s daughter, food has always been a huge part of my life and I learnt to cook & bake with my grandmother at the age of 5. I grew up in Durham in the countryside though now live in London. I completed a degree in food science, graduating in 2000 and have since worked in the food industry primarily in product development, though I did have a few years where I was also looked after the purchasing of ingredients & packaging. Food is a huge part of my life and I love to cook for friends and family. I consider myself very lucky to love my job as much as I do. I was a contestant on Masterchef in 2009 and managed to reach the quarter finals.

I have been in the M&S food group since early 2010 as a product developer working within the grocery department. I currently look after various areas including canned goods and our new Terribly Clever products.

I will be blogging about the new products we are launching within the grocery area and innovative ideas of how to use them.
